This is a 2-part workshop as outlined below:
Part I: October 7, 2023, 9:00 am-12:00 pm
Scholars Only
-Scholars will learn the basic information required for most scholarship essays
-Scholars will draft their personal scholarship essays during the workshop
-Scholars will submit their essays for editing at the end of the session
-Personal essays will be edited and returned to the scholar before part II
Part II: October 28, 2023, 9:00 am-12:00 pm
Scholars Only 9:00 am-10:25 am
-Scholars will assemble scholarship packages to include extra-curricular activities, community service, resumes, honors, etc.
-Scholars will prepare and practice for scholarship interviews
Parents & Scholars 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
-Parents will learn how to find the scholarships applicable to your scholars
-Parents will receive access to a scholarship database, tracking spreadsheet, and more to keep your scholarship search organized and thorough
Workshop sessions are held at The Scribe Tribe located at 189 Joe Orr Road, Chicago Heights, IL. The sessions will be streamed for virtual attendees as well.
Scholars are required to bring a personal laptop that can connect to the internet each session
